”The absence is present”-Lanvin’s fall 2016 collection without Alber Elbaz

There isn’t a more appropriate way to deal with Alber Elbaz’s exit from Lanvin than to showcase that this absence was very much present in the House’s Fall 2016 collection, designed by the in-house atelier. Not to blame them,of course but sometimes a person is making all the difference, and in that case,Elbaz’s magic finishing touch wasn’t there. The collection seemed destined to prove that there is Lanvin after Elbaz presenting unconstructed dresses, peplums, brocade tuxedo jackets and shimmering evening wear but just that-and sometimes clumsy executed,.A designed collection with no main concept and finishing touch-qualities that all fashion world loved about Elbaz. The structured yet floating design of old Lanvin were loudly absent therefore the collection seemed that had been designed for any parisian house. Ok,perhaps not any but a few.
