‘A Beautiful Darkness’ exhibition: Champagne Clicquot doyens collaborate with Showstudio to curate an ode to Madame Clicquot

The House of Veuve Clicquot have taken a haute spin on Halloween creating a new annual event designed to pay homage to the revolutionary Madame Clicquot, the woman who single-handedly took over her late husband’s champagne business to create one of the world’s most well-known brands.

The Veuve Clicquot Widow Series is a new immersive experience set in the abandoned site of The College…formerly home to Central Saint Martins. Each year, the brand will partner with a leader in the world of fashion, film, art, design or music to create an event like no other. This year they are collaborating with renowned photographer Nick Knight, founder and director of SHOWstudio to present ‘A Beautiful Darkness’. There’ll be specific rooms of The College premiering five SHOWstudio commissioned haunting films, along with a series of curated rooms by creatives including Lady Amanda Harlech, taxidermist Rose Robson, fashion designer Gareth Pugh and Knight himself. With the option to book a Veuve Clicquot tasting experience too, you could be stepping into the most Beautiful Darkness with the most creative Halloween ever…
